Tafsīr

The Qurʾān forms the foundation upon which we build the rest of our framework. A stronger understanding of the Qurʾān allows us to better understand our Dīn. Our ʿulamāʾ have left us a rich tafsīr tradition that helps us understand the Qurʾān. For this reason, Maʿrifa is committed to deepening engagement with the tafsīr tradition.

To support this goal, we have launched our Introduction to the Books of Tafsīr project. This initiative introduces readers to the major works of tafsīr, their authors, and their methodologies.

We also invite you to explore our research papers, which offer in-depth studies and critical analyses on selected topics in tafsīr, enabling a more rigorous engagement with the discipline.
